More than 18 years of experience in the creative industry, I have led teams and been a part of them. Being a self-taught artist I like to be a motivator to my colleagues, always pushing myself and others to accomplish personal and professional goals.

I currently work as Art Director at Moon Active working remotely full-time from my hometown in India. I am responsible for realising the product needs on all the visual aspects of the new game title in development. I lead a fantastic team of concept artists, game artists, animators and UI designers, as together we create art assets for the various features of our game.

Before Moon Active, I worked as Studio Art Director at Rovio in Helsinki, Finland, where I was responsible for defining the look of our games, giving Art Direction to the team, recruiting Artists, building teams, and developing and growing talent.

Further before Rovio, I worked as Principal Visual Development Artist at King in Barcelona. My major responsibility included uplifting the characters of existing projects and creating new ones.

I worked on the new Candy Crush Friends, which I am super proud of. I was responsible for elevating, designing characters and make them ready for 3D. I created model packets and reviewed works by other character designers and 3D artists on the project. Check it out on the App Store.

Before King, I art directed a team of around 15 artists for games ’Titan Empires’ and “DragonSoul’. For Titan Empires, I did the entire Art Direction, including hands-on character design, buildings and environment design and 3D production reviews. For Dragonsoul, along with art direction, I created character styling and designed a number of characters.

Here are some more highlights of my professional career up until now:

  • I worked for games by Zynga, Glu Mobiles, Booyah, PerBlue, and many others.

  • I was a part of Masters of Anatomy’s second book on Character Designs, featuring work done by industry’s top 130 character designers.

I am the organizer of SketchBomb Helsinki, a sketching group where artists from the city meet for networking, to draw together and have fun. Previously I used to organize SketchBomb Barcelona and SketchBomb New Delhi when I lived there. I feel at home when I am surrounded with amazingly talented people at these meetups and it will always be a part of my life, wherever I am.
